Voting

Daughters vote each year at the annual meeting on the slate of officers and proposed amendments to the articles of incorporation and bylaws.

Currently, there are no proposed amendments to the articles of incorporation and bylaws; however, Daughters may motion for amendments in-person at the annual meeting. To find out more about how to submit amendments for consideration, please reference your copy of the bylaws.

To vote and propose amendments, Daughters must be current on their dues.

Daughters unable to attend the annual meeting may also vote via a proxy statement:

  1. Identify a proxy who will vote on your behalf. If you don’t have a proxy, you may designate Barbara Nobriga. Barbara is a Daughter that serves on the nominating committee and is not seeking office.
  2. State how you would like your proxy to vote.
  3. Sign your letter (a typed signature will not be accepted).
  4. Your signed letter must be received by February 15, by post to 2913 Pali Highway, Honolulu HI 96817-1417, email to info@daughtersofhawaii.org, or hand-delivery no later than 10:30 AM to the Annual Meeting registration on February 21.
