Eo e Emalani i Alakai Festival returns to Kauai
October 14, 2017 –
A day of music, dance, and living history, in commemoration of the beloved Queen Emma!
Dress Attire is required for Daughters and Cousins. Daughters should bring their lei hulu or puakenikeni lei, and Cousins bring their black kukui lei. White hats are optional. On Saturday in Koke'e, Hui o Laka will provide participants with an event t-shirt. For those who aren’t dancing at Koke'e, you'll still be included in the Ho'okupu portion of the festival.
Please bring an extra set of clothes to change into after the presentation. Bring blankets and chairs to sit on, as well as a sweater or jacket as the weather can be unpredictable in Koke’e. Food, beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase. You can also indulge yourself at the craft fair and silent auction -- all proceeds go to benefit the Koke'e Museum.
Invite your all your 'ohana to join us.
