CANCELLED: The King Kamehameha Day -Ho‘olaule‘a Celebration

UPDATE as of June 9, 2021: It is with heavy hearts that we have to cancel our King Kamehameha Day Hoʻolauleʻa Celebration. Everyone’s health and wellness is a top priority to us and with COVID precautions, we just cannot host the kind of celebration this holiday deserves. We hope you find a safe way to celebrate this year and we are already planning festivities for next year, so please stay healthy, so we can see you then!

May 13, 2021: We are currently working with the County of Hawai‘i for approval to host the annual King Kamehameha Day Ho‘olaule‘a Celebration. Once we receive the green light we invite everyone to join us on June 12, 2021! The Ho‘olaule‘a is in honor of King Kamehameha I and to invite the community to spend a free day at Hulihe‘e Palace—learning about our history, celebrating the achievements of our ali‘i, and celebrating Hawaiian culture. The community will be invited to self-tour Hulihe‘e and visit approximately 15 booths. The booths will include community resources, cultural practitioners, and feature Hawai‘i-made products by local artists and vendors. The Ho‘olaule‘a will begin with protocol and ho‘okupu

Please save the date and check our website for more information! We look forward to approval from the County of Hawai‘i and to seeing you all on June 12, 2021!
