Temporary Closure of Palaces

As directed by Governor Ige on March 17, 2020 regarding visitor attractions and COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Hulihe‘e Palace and Queen Emma Summer Palace are temporarily closed to the public. All community events and cultural classes have been cancelled or are postponed for the time being. The safety of our visitors, volunteers, members, and employees has and continues to be our top priority.

In this period of uncertainty, we are hopeful to resume normal business hours as soon as possible. We encourage everyone to please check back with us or call the Palace prior to visiting.

We encourage everyone in our community and across Hawaiʻi to continue following the guidance set-forth by the Governor of Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiʻi Department of Health and the Counties. We encourage all throughout Hawaiʻi and the nation to continue following the guidance set-forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
