Meet Jamilee Jimenez
Name: Jamilee Moanikeala‘o Kamailelauli‘i Dee-Shae Jimenez
Resides: Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi
Maikaʻi Kauaʻi, hemolele i ka mālie. Beautiful Kauaʻi, peaceful in the calm. Jamilee was born on the island of Kauaʻi in it’s capital city of Līhuʻe. She spent her childhood at her family’s taro patches in Hanalei and swimming at Poʻipū Beach. She is the oldest daughter of James and Shanlee, sister to Ashlee, and Aunty to Kian James, Saydee Rose, and Dayden.
Before working for the Liliʻuokalani Trust, Jamilee taught elementary school for eight years in Kauaʻi private and charter schools. Jamilee holds a M.Ed in Child Development from Chaminade University and a B.S. in Family Resources from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She is a former member of the UH Rainbow Wahine Track and Field team and is currently listed in the Top 10 record holders for the 60-meter dash and long jump.
Jamilee is active in the community, serving as the Head Coach for the Kauaʻi High School Track and Field team, and is a member of the Public Relations and Supervisory Committees of the Kauaʻi Federal Credit Union. She enjoys the simple things in life including iced caramel lattes, diving into a good book, and napping with her French Bulldog Harlow. She has a passion for vintage muʻumuʻu, with over 100 muʻumuʻu in her collection. You may see some of her collection during #muumuumonth every January!
Jamilee Jimenez is eager and delighted for the opportunity to serve the Daughters of Hawai‘i.
