Bubbles, Brunch and Bound in Roses
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Mu‘umu‘u Month, we are excited to join in on the fun with our very first mu‘u event at Hulihe‘e on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM!
Dress in your best mu‘umu‘u, holokū or aloha attire to support the historic preservation, maintenance, and operations of the Palace and grounds. We’ll have bubbles, brunch bites, and books for your enjoyment, as well as a chance to show off your finest Hawaiian fashion and enter our mu‘u contest!
A special mu‘u exhibit to honor Faye Daniel, former Regent of the Daughters of Hawai‘i, founder of Wilhelmina’s Tea, community icon, and inspiration for award winning author, Katherine Kayne’s newest novel. We lost Faye in 2019 but her legacy of service and style live on. Katherine Kayne will do a reading from her just released book, Bound in Roses, a red-hot Hawaiian romance blooms for a buttoned-up botanist who must learn to let go and embrace the ancient voice within her.
