Lei Po’o Workshop

Lei Poʻo Workshop

Create your own lei poʻo in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Huliheʻe Palace.

In this guided workshop you will learn the cultural significance of lei po'o, a lei to adorn your head. You'll gain hands-on experience working with the provided fresh foliage and flowers. Surrounded by a site deeply connected to Hawaiian history, you'll leave with a handmade lei and a deeper appreciation for this living tradition. Your ticket includes all materials and complimentary entry to self-tour Huliheʻe Palace. All skill levels are welcome.

Your instructor:

Claudia Botts-Janiszewski is dedicated to sharing the art and tradition of Hawaiian lei making. Through hands-on guidance, she helps students explore techniques, creativity, and the cultural significance behind each lei. She loves fostering a space where people can connect with Hawaiian customs, express themselves through this timeless craft, and leave with something meaningful they've created.
