Celebrate at Hulihe‘e Palace in Kailua-Kona

Hulihe‘e Palace, once a royal retreat, offers a one-of-a-kind venue in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Built in 1838, the Palace is filled with treasures from Hawai‘i’s monarchy and surrounded by lush lawns and swaying palms.

Whether you're planning a wedding, reception, dinner, or gathering, the Palace provides a peaceful and elegant setting. Say “I do” as the sun sets over the bay, with ocean breezes and the sound of waves creating a natural soundtrack. Host guests in the grand entry hall, where redwood pillars and antique furnishings from the time of Kalākaua add timeless grace.

Outdoor events are welcome year-round. The lush grounds offer space for both intimate ceremonies and large celebrations, all framed by classic Hawaiian architecture and rich cultural history.

Requirements to book a space

• Complete an online facility inquiry form
• Meet with our Rental Coordinator to discuss timing and space options
• Sign a rental contract a minimum 60 days prior to your event
• Sign a rental contract and provide a non-refundable deposit of $600 in order to reserve a date

Rental fees are based on the number of people attending and type of event.

• Site rental is available for nine hours between 9 AM and 10 PM.
• 350 guest maximum*
• Fee starts at $1,000
• Member discount applies.

Rental rates for larger parties available upon request. Any request for times other than what is listed is subject to overtime charges and approval by Daughters of Hawai‘i.
