Hulihe‘e Palace
Tour a palace in Kona
As you enter through the gate adorned with the royal crest, you’ll be welcomed by the sound of waves and the scent of salt air. Docents share stories of the ali‘i who once gathered here—hosting celebrations, resting between voyages, and shaping the future of the Hawaiian Kingdom.
Visitors often describe Hulihe‘e as a place of quiet majesty. You might stand in the same room where King Kalākaua entertained guests, or gaze out at the sea from the lanai where guests from around the world were greeted. Every corner holds a piece of living history.
Whether you’re drawn by the architecture, the artifacts, or the stories of resilience and royalty, Hulihe‘e Palace offers a deeply personal connection to Hawai‘i’s past.
