The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Daughters of Hawai‘i (DOH).
The Daughters of Hawaii are responsible for stewarding three historically recognized sites ( Hānaiakamalama on O‘ahu, and Hulihe‘e Palace and the birth site of Kauikeaouli on Hawai‘i Island).
As the lead face of DOH, the ED protects DOH’s assets; supports DOH’s financial health by cultivating existing partnerships, and develops prospective and new funding opportunities; oversees human resources; and complies with the Board of Directors’ directives and federal and state requirements to carry out DOH’s mission. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors to provide high level guidance, goal setting and strategic planning for DOH.
This position is based on O‘ahu at Hānaiakamalama (Queen Emma Summer Palace) and requires frequent and regular travel to the neighbor islands to conduct business.
